The Jazz Association Singapore Orchestra (JASSO) is proud to be a part of the EFG London Jazz Festival 2018.

The repertoire will feature swinging international jazz standards, jazzy arrangements pf traditional tunes from Southeast Asia, and original compositions by Singaporean composers.

JASSO will be led by Music Director and Singapore's King of Swing, Jeremy Monteiro and Associate Music Director, WEIXIANG TAN. The concert will feature two guest vocalists - Anne Weerapass and the "Godfather of Singapore Jazz" Louis Soliano.

WTMW 2018 is not a variety show but a musical! Come and watch how the hope of a CSA artist-in-the-making becomes a reality. The musical stars our up-and-coming actors from Very Special Theatrics and some of the local artistes with disabilities who performed at the True Colours Asia-Pacific Festival in March 2018. It also will showcase our new partners like Clement Chow and Jazz Association (Singapore) (JASS).

Furthermore, it is not just an inclusive musical, it is an occasion where you get to see, feel touch and learn how a person with disability sees, feels and learns.

Jazz Association (Singapore) is proud to present gListen Jazz at the National Library, in conjunction with the Singapore Night Festival.

Songs such as "Singapura," "Rasa Sayang", the Malacca-Portugese "Jingkli Nona" and a majestic arrangement of "One People, One Nation, One Singapore", are among the tunes that will be performed.
OUTREACH CONCERT: JAZZ IN JULY'S BIG BAND SUNDAY

Join the Jazz Association (Singapore) (JASS), and its youth orchestra, JASSYO!, in a rousing concert at Esplanade's Jazz in July.

JASSYO! will be playing under the direction of JASS Music Director Jeremy Monteiro, with the support of Associate Music Director Weixiang Tan. The concert embodies a celebration of jazz music across history and cultures, with a repertoire comprising swinging jazz standards, original compositions by Singapore jazz composers, as well as newly commissioned jazzy arrangements of the beloved melodies of Singapore and her neighbours.

The concert will also feature special guest appearances by the "Godfather of Singapore Jazz," Louis Soliano, and versatile crooner Rudy Djoe.
CELEBRATING SINGAPORE BOTANIC GARDENS HERITAGE FESTIVAL 2018

Jazz Association (Singapore) (JASS) is proud to present a concert as part of the Singapore Botanic Gardens Heritage Festival 2019, celebrating Singapore Botanic Gardens' 3-year inscription anniversary as a World UNESCO Heritage site.
LION CITY YOUTH JAZZ FESTIVAL 2018 - FINALE CONCERT

The concert is a culmination of an annual youth-musician-focused learning and immersion programme, comprising 5 days of intensive rehearsals and workshops, under the guidance of international jazz legends and prominent professional jazz musicians.

Concert featured 5-time Grammy award-winning Trumpeter and composer Randy Brecker, Cultural Medallion-winner Jeremy Monteiro, Jay Anderson, Lewis Nash, Antonio Hart, Ulf Wakenius, Tom Walsh, Marques Young and Joe Darin.
SUPER JAM AT RELISH

Super Jam at Relish was organised as a part of the Lion City Youth Jazz Festival 2018. After a week of intensive rehearsals, workshops and practicing, mentors and their underlings together with members of JASSYO! had an enjoyable jam session at Relish.

The Lion City Youth Jazz Festival is an annual youth-musician-focused learning and immersion programme, comprising 6 days of intensive rehearsals, workshops and a final concert on the last day, under the guidance of international jazz legends and prominent professional jazz musicians.

BORNEO JAZZ FESTIVAL

Notable musicians in JASSO are Music Director and pianist Jeremy Monteiro, Associate Music Director and pianist Weixang Tan, top Singapore guitarist Andrew Lim who used to be based in New York, Jazz drumming stalwart Tamagoh, and established baritone saxophone player Tim Stocker, who hails from Australia. American lead trumpeter Kyle Gregory, as well as Malaysian trumpeter Eddie Wen, and top European saxophonist Tony Lakatos will guest with JASSO at Borneo Jazz.
CELEBRATING UNESCO INTERNATIONAL JAZZ DAY

In the spirit of uniting people from all corners of the globe through the universal language of jazz, join the Jazz Association (Singapore), otherwise known as JASS, and its youth orchestra JASSYO!, in commemorating UNESCO International Jazz Day with a rousing concert the Sunday before the designated International Jazz Day. The repertoire will comprise songs from original compositions by Singaporean jazz composers as well as international jazz standards.
SING JAZZ 2018

SING JAZZ celebrates Singapore's very own JASSO (Jazz Association Singapore Orchestra led by the "King of Swing" Jeremy Monteiro. Founded in 2017 by the Jazz Association (Singapore), the band has had numerous opportunities to take the stage at the internationally-renonwned JZ Shanghai Festival in October 2017, where they performed on the main stage of the festival along with international stars scubas Kool & The Gang. This year, joined by local songbirds Melissa Tham and Alemay Fernandez, Monteiro has combined their superb vocal talent with the orchestra made up of 24 jazz musicians, together with the most outstanding members from their youth orchestra.

Jazz Association (Singapore) hosted an appreciation dinner at Botanico at the Garage for our supporters, past and present. It was a night of jazz amongst lush greenery and a delightful spread of food and drink to celebrate the progress Jazz Association (Singapore) has made since its humble beginnings with the help of jazz supporters and friends.
JAZZ APPRECIATION TALK - A BRIEF HISTORY OF JAZZ WITH PROFESSOR JEREMY MONTEIRO & FRIENDS

Join Professor Jeremy Monteiro as he takes you on a musical tour of the history of Jazz with his musician friends. He will talk about the evolution of Jazz from the Blues to early Jazz, New Orleans Jazz (often referred to as Dixieland), the birth of Modern Jazz in 1927 with Louis Armstrong, Swing, Bebop, Latin Jazz into Fusion and Contemporary Jazz.
NIE-NTU COMMUNITY OUTREACH CONCERT

This concert marks the first outreach concert of the Jazz Association Singapore Orchestra (JASSO) in Singapore.

The repertoire consists of a selection of compositions by Music Director Jeremy Monteiro, a couple of compositions by talented Singaporean composer/pianist/organist Chok Kerong, as well s a rearrangement of the Malacca-Portuguese fold song "Jingkli Nona". The music will traverse between swinging tunes, pulsating Latin/Bossa tunes and a Bluesy/Gospel treatment of the National Song, "One People, One Nation, One Singapore".
